Method suggested for calculation of pressure exerted by embankment for any angle value of retaining wall rotation; based on stress-strain curves of embankment material, earth pressure mobilization curve is plotted, and minimum value of wall rotation angle is calculated at which total embankment shear strength is attained; solution is based on assumption that retaining wall is vertical and rigid, embankment surface behind wall is horizontal and not loaded, embankment is made of powdery material, and wall is moving away from embankment while rotating around its base.
