Takoradi Harbour
Harbor is composed of two breakwaters, 2500 ft. apart; South or Main Breakwater has total length of 1 1/2 mi.; North or Lee Breakwater has length of 4500 ft.; area of water enclosed is 220 acres; Lee Breakwater, which is provided with rail and road facilities, has four wharves of total length of 1000 ft.; principal imports are cotton goods, cement, gasoline, kerosene, coal, dressed timber, and dry provisions; exports consist of cacao, manganese, gold, diamonds, hides, kernels and mahogany.
