Observations on mechanical testing of bituminous road mixtures
In special method, based on principles of soil mechanics, test has been found in which plastic nature of bituminous mixes is fully taken into account; theory underlying this so-called "cell test" explained, and from number of examples it is shown in what manner various elements constituting shearing resistance can be expressed and estimated in figures.
