Double-span lift bridge completes unusual six-track river crossing
At Newark, NJ, Pennsylvania railroad built 6-track crossing of Passaic river, involving two lift span bridges with total of three vertical lift spans; one of bridges carries three tracks and involves 3-track lift span, and other has two lift spans, one carrying two tracks and other single track, both operating between common 3-track towers; all three tracks of latter structure are on different grades.
