New international bridges, between Canada and United States
Two systems described; one consists of varied series of bridges crossing St. Lawrence at Thousand Islands; total cost estimated at £ 404,000; other is Blue Water International Bridge crossing St. Clair River, 1 1/4 mi in length, erected at cost of £400, 000; international portion consists of main span of 871 ft of arched cantilever form, and two anchor arms, each 326 ft.
