Biaxial device for determining modulus of elasticity of stress-relief cores
Device developed for determination of modulus of elasticity of stress-relief cores obtained in process of making in situ stress measurements; this determination is made by hydraulically loading external surface of stress-relief cores and by measuring corresponding borehole deformation; theoretical relationship between borehole deformation, applied pressure, and modulus of elasticity is presented.
