Test operation of pneumatic vibrating-blade planer in phosphate and coal -- Progress report on planer-mining research, 1958-60
Tests run with planer model "B" at Arickaree mine of San Francisco Chem Co, Rich County, Utah, and at Roslyn No. 9 mine of Northern Pacific Railway Co, Roslyn, Wash; tests showed that planer in general and remote-control system worked very well; bit design was improved as result of laboratory research; pressure regulator valve and manifold were installed on planer to enable adjustment of back pressure required to activate airhammers.
