Consequence of closure of headgate of head race canal containing surge tank
Previously used 2 methods for study of transient regime resulting from linear closure of gate are applied to hydroelectric plant with characteristics, L=57 m; f=6.16 sq m; F=28 sq m; S=0.23 sq m; a=1140 m/sec; Q=12 cu m/sec; when operation is rapid important overpressures can take place; comparison of methods and techniques used for determination of overpressures; graphical representation is used.
