Gate arrival terminal for Kansas City MCI Airport
New MCI airport at Kansas City develops "gate arrival" approach to terminal planning to its ultimate in its attempt to decentralize facilities and operations, to reduce congestion, and to reduce to minimum long distances passengers are required to walk in present day major air terminals; initially, three circular terminal buildings are provided, with total of 45 loading positions, permitting 4 to 4.5 million emplanements per year, three times number for 1966.
