Static stress level and footing size influence on resonant displacement response of cohesive soil-foundation systems
Influence of static stress level and footing size on resonant vertical displacement amplitude response of reinforced concrete, prototype, circular footings supported on cohesive soil and subjected to vertical sinusoidal loading of nature prevalent in industrial facilities, such as machine foundations, is presented using methods of dimensional analysis in conjunction with kinematic and force, parameters in phase diagram representation; response is nonlinear but is presented in terms of nondimensional resonant amplitude parameter.
