Second order equation for BOD
First order chemical reaction for BOD is examined and second order equation is presented and solution outlined; equations are applied to experimental data; results show that second order equation that can be solved directly by least squares analysis can be applied to BO D data without loss of precision; raising test temperature from 20 to 35 C significantly increases precision of calculating BOD constants.
