Prediction and observation of settling of two buildings in Geneva (Switzerland); calculations of subsoil settling were performed utilizing methods of Terzaghi and Kany, and observations as well as interpretation of data were done according to method developed by H. Neuber; correlation was found between Neuber's parameters and characteristics of subsoil; for usual periods of construction, diagram can be established giving correlations between subsoil's nature, its compressibility, and consolidation rate which permits prediction of total settling at building's completion.
