Prediction and field verification of settlements on cohesionless soils
Method based on use of drive point testing of site for forecasting settlements of two heavy structures resting mainly on sand strata and also another method based on large-scale consolidation test for forecasting settlement of heavy structure proposed to be built on deposit of slag up to 18 in. in size; correlations of predicted and measured settlements for first two structures; method gives reasonable approximations.
