Pressure generated by cavitation in pipe
Study to predict maximum pressure following pipe cavitation caused by rapid stoppage of flow; in many cases, this cavity will collapse, generating waves of high pressure propagating through pipe; method is presented for prediction of maximum pressure generated in cases in which influence of fluid resistance is small; analytical result was substantiated experimentally.
