Horizontal jets in stagnant fluid of other density
Influence of density difference between jet and surrounding fluid on diffusion caused by circular horizontal submerged turbulent jet is studied theoretically on basis of similarity principle; theoretical results show how coordinates of axis of jet and rate of mixing, and velocity at axis of jet depend on initial density difference between jet and stagnant ambient fluid and on velocity of jet when it issues from nozzle; only three-dimensional, circular horizontal jets are considered.
