Withdrawal from two-layer stratified flows
Theoretical and experimental studies at M.I.T. Hydrodynamics Laboratory and TVA's Engineering Laboratory have established general flow and design relationships involved in controlled withdrawal from bottom layer of fluid in two-layered flow system having discrete interface; theoretical considerations, and test arrangements used to obtain laboratory data are described and comparison of laboratory and theoretical results presented.
