A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
New fastening device that fastens timber sheeting to outside of soldier piles and allows random lengths of timber to be attached to front of piles is described; in application of new method of sheeting in excavated areas bolt lengths are chosen so that sheeting can be attached even though soldier piles are not in perfect alignment; random lengths of timber sheeting can be chosen, but joints should be staggered for strength and for safety.
