    Stability of equilibrium of shell is examined by considering possible neighboring equilibrium states; loading exerted by elastic medium on shell in deformed state is found by solving associated boundary value problem of linearized theory of elasticity in presence of initial stress; critical values of pressure are found for two cases of bonded and smooth interface.
