A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Dredges with specifically designed ladders for digging to 200 ft depths are now being built; units with 36 in. discharge are in operation, and preliminary design of special project dredges with up to 60 in. discharge have been made; controls of modern dredge have been improved by invention and eased by design; dredge ladders vary in weight from 15 to 250 tons and from 25 to 225 ft in length; improvement in pumps and cutters; production capacities.
