Dredge Donar was designed and built by Muetzelfeldtwerft Gmbh; dredging arm is pivoted from support amidships and is raised and lowered by 80-ton winch at fore end; arm can dredge to depth of 55 ft and has 48 buckets mounted on it, each with capacity of 143 gal; length oa 173 ft 10 3/4 in., beam 32 ft 9 3/4 in., freeboard 11 ft 5 3/4 in., draft 6 ft 7 in.
