Some large structural cracks appeared in number of concrete pile caps in wharf at Port of Los Angeles; alternate to healing cracks with epoxy resin was to demolish wharf deck and reconstruct beams and deck with new concrete; it was estimated that epoxy repair would cost only half as much as reconstruction; preliminary testing of cracked concrete and field and laboratory tests leading to selection of epoxy resin are described.
