Investigation of rupturing of concrete under multiaxial load
3 grades of concrete differing in strength were tested by biaxial compressive and tensile-compressive stressing; results show, contrary to Mohr's hypothesis, clear effect of mean principle stress on rupture strength; types of fracture observed are discussed.
