Structural aspects of prestressed lightweight aggregate concrete
Resume of experimental work carried out over last 4 yr at Univ of New South Wales, Australia; mix proportions and properties; stress block parameters; ultimate flexural strength and ultimate shear strength of prestressed beams; reduction of resultant concrete density from usual 150 lb/cu ft to 100-110 lb/cu ft is most important advantage of using light weight aggregate.
