Description of principal structural features of magnificent new building constructed to replace original Cathedral destroyed during World War II; structural materials used are reinforced concrete in piled foundations and base, sandstone and concrete blocks with mass concrete in walls and prestressed concrete with reinforced concrete for roof; walls of Cathedral are carried on total of 671 piles each designed to support load of 50 tons.
