Experimental investigation of vibrations in tall chimneys
Since simple statical analysis of chimneys is insufficient, paper analyzes chimneys as system subject to vibrations and stabilization by elasticity of ground and of chimney itself; vibrations due to wind effect and to ground movement; use of mechanical and electrical vibration gages is discussed.
