Build top floor first and jack it up
Richard Costain Ltd propose to eliminate many of difficulties of multistory building by doing all work at heights below 70 ft, and then jacking completed floors upwards; partitioning, plumbing, electrical fittings and decorating will be done at low levels so that, to all intents and purposes, completed floors could be occupied after they have passed final level of fourth story; working stages and typical floor plan are shown in diagrams.
