Determination of oxidation rates of air-blown asphalts by infra-red spectroscopy
Asphalts tested were in use in production of asphalt shingles; oxidation rates for air-blown asphalts were determined by measuring change in infrared absorption with time of exposure to radiant energy of carbon arc; oxidation rate data offer potential basis for predicting natural weathering durability.
