Terminal building is 720 m long with various widths from 8 m width of jetties to 83 m width of central block, and from 2 to 7 stories high; design stresses and loads; structure comprises I-beam columns and plate girders; jointing partly by riveting and partly by welding; corrosion control; total of 6580 tons of steel was used.
