High-temperature heat treatment of titanium alloys with unstable β-phase
Heating of forged semifinished products made of VT15 alloy up to and above 1000 C, sharply lowers their ductility which can be restored only by repeated deformation; β-phase decomposition causing plasticity loss in deformed and cast VT15 alloy is discussed. (see also English translation in Metal Science and Heat Treatment n 1-2 Jan-Feb p 117-21)
