Fire resistance of encased steel stanchions
Ability of structural element to withstand exposure to fire in standard test is termed fire resistance and measured by period of time during which it can continue to perform design functions; reduction of strength of steel-encased stanchion under standard heating conditions is analyzed; empirical approach is suggested for estimation of fire resistance of encased stanchions.
