Moment equations for computer analysis of frames
Equilibrium equations of structure are expressed in terms of gross joint and floor moments; method provides approach for end conditions and for members with constant and variable moments of inertia, and is reported to have particular advantages when used in conjunction with computers, as coefficient matrix of moment equations can be generated much more readily than similar operations involved in usual flexibility or stiffness matrix methods.
