Losses of heat with outgoing gases from oxygen blown converters of different capacities
Heat balances for melts in 55 and 25 ton converters, carried out at 2 plants, indicate that total physical and chemical heat losses in waste gases proved to be practically same (274,000 and 250,000 cal/ton of capacity) and close to calculated value of 251,000 cal/ton. (See also English translation in Stal in English n 11 Nov 1963 p 852-3)
