Heating of feeder heads by exothermic plates
Application of plates of simple configuration for heating hot top of sheet metal ingots weighing from 8 to 20 ton decreased consumption of metal for hot top by about 6%; method is recommended for ingots of any weight, which have pyramidal shape of hot top. (see also English translation in Stal in English n 1 Jan 1964 p 34-6)
