Use of grouting to solve foundation problem at Centralia, III, where 3 300-hp air compressors housed in boiler plant were transmitting excessive vibration through their foundation slab to surrounding area; movement was caused by layer of peat-like material extending from 12 to 19 ft below ground surface; grouting was done at 30 different locations in and around boiler plant perimeter; stabilization procedure.
