Steel space frame will support 300×400 ft column-free roof over 13,500 seat auditorium-sports pavilion at University of California in Los Angeles; roof consists of series of intersecting, pyramid-patterned trusses spanning length and width of rectangular auditorium; trusses rest on concrete columns projecting above cast-in-place concrete bents which support tiers of seats sloping outward from grade.
