Mechanical bypassing of littoral drift at inlets
Brief examination of general processes of littoral drift movement at uncontrolled and controlled coastal inlets is presented; factors affecting mechanical bypassing of drift past inlet; general techniques of sand bypassing are examined, and types of plants used in operation are described; summary is given of all completed and active bypassing projects in United States.
