Elliptical ring under axisymmetric, linear loading
Calculation of intensity of loading of elliptical ring-shaped disk bounded by 2 confocal ellipses and loaded in its own plane; in order to determine stresses of disk, elliptical ring is mapped on circular ring, of which stress analysis is performed by means of complex potentials; equations derived can be used to design stiffening ring for cross piece of 2 pressure pipes of which diameters are identical and crossing is rectangular.
