Two pallet-type transfer machines built by Buhr Machine Tool Co, Ann Arbor are 20-station automatic line for power steering housing at Chrysler's Highland Park plant, and variable station machine used by road machinery builder; use of building block components in second machine makes it possible to run six different though similar parts, and to convert machine to production of other items; pallets used to good advantage in Chrysler machine.
