Uplift pressures in masonry dams and three-dimensional electrical analogy
Experimental investigation of uplift pressures and effect of variation in spacing and depth of drains on maximum uplift intensities developed; results are discussed in relation to usual assumptions on uplift pressures and reported measurements on prototypes, and choice of depths and spacings for drains to satisfy specific requirements; uplift assumption for design computations is indicated.
