Grouting and bond strengths of plain and deformed H.T. prestressing bars
Since it is known that there is marked decrease in ultimate strength of post-tensioned member with non-bonded tendon, investigation was carried out to determine magnitude of bond developed and best combination of high strength grout and duct formation to obtain this bond; data also given to show that high tensile deformed bars can be substituted for plain bars as post-tensioning elements without need for permanent end anchorages.
