Review of test results indicates excellent fatigue resistance of prestressed concrete in design range of loading; for loadings outside design range, i.e. after cracking has occurred, governing factor affecting fatigue strength is fatigue strength of steel used for stressing; figures obtained for fatigue strength of high tensile wires show that for most types in present use mean value of 60-65% of ultimate strength should be taken.
