Length of bridge will be 7861 ft, of which 6471 ft will be floating and 1390 ft fixed approaches; floating sections will be anchored by steel cables on both sides and secured to concrete anchors on bottom of canal; floating part consists of reinforced concrete pontoons; draw span of four sections to be opened for navigation giving 600 ft clearance; hinged steel transition span will provide small boat channel; approaches are of reinforced concrete.
