Data obtained at U S Bureau of Standards on sound insulating properties of building structures are summarized; results of two previous Supplements to Building Materials and Structures Report 144 (1955) are included, together with later results obtained through Jan 1964; single figure ratings, Sound Transmission Class and Impact Noise Ratings, for airborne sound transmission and impact sound transmission, respectively, as well as octave frequency band spectra of impact noise, are included as additional information; description of sound-measuring techniques.
