Capillarity and seepage flow in unsaturated noncohesive soils
Author's experimental study of capillary phenomena is supplemented by results obtained by other authors; capillary rise and tension, effect of suction force on water content distribution, and effect of dispersion coefficient and relative permeability on flow are discussed; method of calculating flow in unsaturated medium is proposed, based on empirical plots of suction tension and relative permeability vs water content.
