Analysis of blast-loaded strain-rate sensitive plates
Impulsively loaded annular plate is analyzed; plate material is assumed to be perfectly plastic, and rate sensitive; uni-axial yield stress-strain rate law is consistent with that of previous investigators; effect of rate sensitivity on yield surface is assumed to be one of isotropic strengthening similar to that which occurs in strain hardening; rate sensitivity effects are assessed by comparing results with response of same plate for constant yield stress.
