Geology and foundation problems of glacial drift in eastern South Dakota
Examples of foundation problems and their solutions encountered in structure design and construction in Wisconsin glacial till; in one case structure design was changed to box culvert because of long piling required to support structure; second example used resistivity tests as preliminary information for design with final design estimates based on core drilling; third foundation was built on spread type footings after satisfactory plate bearing test.
