Limit analysis of reinforced concrete slabs
Attempt is made to describe theory of plasticity for reinforced concrete slabs exclusively by theory of perfectly plastic materials; yield conditions are formulated for both isotropic and orthotropic slabs, and some exact solutions for isotropic slabs are given; nodal force theory is also presented and some upper-bound solutions containing curved yield lines are given; finally, some lower-bound solutions are given and theory for slabs with orthotropic reinforcements is derived.
