Studies of shear and diagonal tension strength of simply supported reinforced concrete beams
Investigation of shear resistance of reinforced concrete beams included testing of some 200 simply supported beams, with and without stirrups, having range of concrete strengths, steel ratios, and spans, subjected to both concentrated and distributed loads; additional supplementary test provided information on influence of factors affecting beam behavior; test data, analyses, and interpretations are presented.
