Study has been initiated to develop dredging scheme which will be suitable for long haul disposal; this development includes testing phase, presently in progress, designed to ascertain dredging parameters for contemplated new scheme; for this purpose, "Experimental Dredge" was assembled essentially from existing equipment and series of prototype test runs was performed; results to date indicate advantages and practicability of locating dredge pump near draghead and are outlined and evaluated in some detail.
