Finite-element analysis of skewed shallow shells
Finite-element method employing curved parallelogram-shaped shallow shell element is presented; displacement shape is used which provides slope continuity between elements; accuracy of solution obtained using method described is demonstrated by comparison with series solution for same problem; skewed hypar supported on buttresses is also solved.
